Plastics, Please is a fun and challenging top down game about sorting single-use plastics and other recyclable materials. It was made as part of the GJL Games Parade Summer 2021 Jam, which centered around the theme: "One Time Use."

Players play as a small town worker volunteering at the local recycling plant over the course of one week. Their job is to help sort incoming recyclable items from the single-use plastics and other trash coming down the conveyor belt.

At the start of every day(level), players receive a memo from their manager, explaining a little bit about the shipment of trash that players will need to sort through, including what to look out for over the course of the day and what items to separate.

Dreams Prototype

At the beginning of the project, once we decided on a game idea, I used Dreams to quickly block out the core idea of the main mechanic in about 2 hours. This helped my team member visualize the scope of the project and gave him great reference material. From there, we started assembling the game in Unity.

Below is a rough edit of the final game in action.
